Overview

This workshop addresses the importance of mindful learning experiences in the blended classroom which best use the affordances of social media. The focal standard is NETS•S Standard 2 - Communication & Collaboration.

The lesson for this workshop is part of a developing series that will investigate the inner workings of the Internet and the programs we use. In the original we ask, "What is the Internet?" In exploring this question, learners develop and use communication and collaboration skills along with technologies including computers, Google Search, microblogging, and mobile devices.

This version of workshop has been adopted from "What is the Internet?" to explore the question "What is social media?"
